PARTY FRIENDS EP - PRETTY UGLYS

The Party Friends EP cover was a super fun, crafty project to work on!

Inspired by the title itself, the concept of two people (who ended up being a toucan and a flamingo, because everyone turns into a pelican or galah or some crazy type of bird at a party) giving each other a cuddle came to life. I feel like this is a nod to how most friendships are formed in those influential teenage years.

With the imagery set, I then went to work on creating the texts, which I cut out of old Stab and Tracks magazines. We went through a few different styles and colour ways but we always found ourselves going back to the original full-coloured scanned types. The colourful nature, textures and backgrounds had a real nice feel to it.
